Sleek Simplicity: The Slab Door Style in MDF
This kitchen’s foundation lies in its minimalist, slab door style, crafted from durable MDF. The slab design offers a clean and seamless look, contributing to the kitchen’s contemporary feel. For the base units, we chose a custom paint match to Farrow & Ball’s “Mole’s Breath,” a rich grey that anchors the lower half of the kitchen with a sophisticated, moody tone. In contrast, the tall units are painted in “Elephant’s Breath,” a lighter, warm grey that adds dimension while maintaining a cohesive colour palette.
Modern Touches with Gola Rails and Lighting
The base units feature sleek graphite Gola rails that enhance the handle-less design, keeping the focus on the kitchen’s smooth lines. Adding a practical and stylish element, strip lighting runs along the rails, providing subtle task lighting and an ambient glow that elevates the kitchen’s modern atmosphere.
Satin Nickel Elegance: Alexander & Wilkes Handles
While the base units embrace a handle-less look, the tall units stand out with elegant Alexander & Wilkes satin nickel bar handles. These handles offer a touch of sophistication, their understated finish perfectly complementing the soft hues of the “Elephant’s Breath” cabinetry. The satin nickel finish strikes a balance between luxury and practicality, tying the design together.
Luxurious Worktops: Montblanc Quartz & Wenge Wood
The kitchen worktops are a blend of contemporary luxury and natural warmth. The primary surface is 20mm quartz in “Montblanc,” known for its soft white tones with subtle grey veining, offering a refined, high-end finish. On the peninsular, a striking 38mm wood worktop in “Wenge” adds warmth and texture. The rich, dark wood creates a stunning contrast to the quartz, making the peninsular a focal point in both design and function.
Cohesive Carcassing: Cascina Pine by Egger
For the internal carcassing, we selected Egger’s “Cascina Pine” board. This choice complements the overall design with its subtle wood grain texture, offering a natural backdrop that enhances the external finishes. This carcass material not only provides durability but also ties the cabinetry together, ensuring a polished look inside and out.
The Ultimate Chef’s Pantry
A standout feature of this kitchen is the thoughtfully designed chef’s pantry, complete with custom internal drawer packs for maximum organisation. The pantry is fitted with strip lighting on sensors, illuminating the space whenever the doors are opened. Two oak spice racks complete the design, adding both practicality and a touch of natural beauty to this bespoke feature.
Seamless Integration with Appliances
As with many modern kitchens, the appliances in this space are integrated seamlessly into the design, maintaining the clean lines and clutter-free aesthetic. While the specific appliances are yet to be confirmed, this careful integration ensures that functionality is met without sacrificing style.
Abode Stainless Steel Sink & Quooker Tap
For the kitchen’s sink area, we opted for an Abode 1.5 bowl stainless steel undermount sink, paired with precision-cut drainer grooves in the quartz worktop for a sleek, streamlined look. Topping it off is a Quooker round stainless steel tap, adding both convenience and a touch of modern luxury. The pairing of these high-quality components guarantees a practical yet elegant workspace.

To maximise storage and accessibility, this kitchen features a Space Tower system and two corner pull-out mechanisms. These clever storage solutions ensure that every inch of the kitchen is utilised efficiently, making it as functional as it is stylish.
